Production of williams pears in syrup

Situated right in the heart of Italy's area of excellence for Williams pears, which for their taste and texture are the very best variety for processing, Ori Frigo Srl have been producing canned Williams pears in light syrup for both the commercial and industrial sectors since 1991.

Having the advantage of being able to work together with their own farms within the Ori business group, the company is able to cover the entire production chain in-house for large volumes, with obvious benefits in terms of both quality control of the raw materials and the curbing of supply costs.

With an acreage of 65 hectares of Williams pears, the farms in the group are capable of providing Ori Frigo annually with approximately 1,500 tons of fresh produce to be selected for processing.

The fact that the company have their own autonomous cold storage for the conservation of fresh produce in their manufacturing plant also means that they are in a better position to manage storage timing and the delicate ripening phase of the raw material.

Finally, thanks to the recent completion of the new cold storage at controlled atmosphere ensuring a more extended conservation of fresh pears, Ori Frigo is now able to lengthen the fruit processing periods and will increase production significantly.
